Where does the word "redamancy" come from?

"Redamancy" comes from the Latin redamāre "to love back or in return". The OED claims that the word is obsolete, only appearing in 1656 in the writings of Thomas Blount. Starting around 2008 it appears to have made a tepid comeback, being mentioned in Ammon Shea's Reading the OED: One Man, One Year, 21,730 Pages; it then began appearing in novels in the 2010s.
