What is "moreish?"

"Moreish" comes from the modern English word "more" and means "addictive, in the sense of food that you want to continue eating, such as snacks." It is commonly used in Great Britain. "More" itself comes from Old English mara, which means "greater." It first appears in Willem Sewel's dictionary of 1691.
